Radiotherapy For Cancer
Radiotherapy is the treatment given to cancer patients after surgery. This is nothing but radiation therapy where radiation is give to the targeted tissue in the specific area to destroy the cells there so that they no longer continue to grow. In this process normal cell also get destroyed but can repair themselves effectively. Another way of giving radiotherapy is by giving a liquid which is radioactive. It can be given either through the mouth or through an injection in the vein. The injected substance deposits energy which will destroy the genetic make up of the cell.
